Flamboyance
A GROUP OF FLAMINGOSIn summer 2023 my wife and I obtained 23 plastic pink flamingos. We invited our 23 most creative friends over for a party in which they all left with a flamingo. Seven weeks later they came back with decorated flamingos and we put on a fashion show. Getting 23 friends to meet a deadline easy no easy task. The result was 45 minutes of pure joy for everybody.Each flamingo was placed atop an electric lazy susan and had it’s own lighting, music, list of hobbies, and script. I cannot escape trying to put on a good show.
I created a deck of cards with each flamingo on it and gave one to everybody who participated.

The original vision for the flaminogs realized here. For better or worse, there are 15 more in my apartment.
I laser cut two layers of acrylic—one colored and one clear—then layered them to frame my wife’s grandfather’s artwork.
I dreamed this up and had to make it.
Animated logo I made for a friend’s website. An in-kind donation. He gives me free beats all the time.

Why did I make this? I don’t know if I know why. A quote from a designer that I canever fully attribute it to because I always forget the name: ‘If you think something should exist, that’s reason enough to make it.’
